Emergency & Evacuation Procedures
Evacuation
In an emergency situation that requires evacuation, such as fire or a bomb threat, you will want to use the closest exit to your room. All of our exit signs are lit up in neon green.
1030-1060
Exit the room and turn right to exit through the double doors at the end of the hallway marked by the exit sign.
Banquet Hall (1035-1055)
Your first emergency exit is the patio door closest to you. From there, you will exit out of the brown wooden gate at the end of the patio, where there is a hill that everyone can gather on. Your second exit is through the entry doors of the room to the hallway. From there, you will turn left, walk through the double doors with the exit sign above, and walk out to the back dock and down the stairs to the hill.
Lobby
Your first exit is the Main Entrance, where you enter the Fetzer Center.
Kirsch Auditorium
There are multiple exits in this room, and where you are in the room determines which exit you will use. If you are in the lower section, you will use one of the two exits at the front of the room that lead to the same area. Exit these doors and go around the brick wall directly in front of you to the stairway on your left. Go up the stairs and follow the building around to the front of the building. If you are in the upper section, you will use the left or right entry doors.
-
Left exit—If you exit from the left door, your first emergency exit is the patio doors to the left. From there, you will exit from the brown wooden gate at the end of the patio to the back of Fetzer, where there is a hill for everyone to gather. Your second exit is the Fetzer main entrance.
-
If right, exit—Your first exit is to the right, out of the double doors marked by the exit sign. Your second exit is the Fetzer main entrance.
